Studio X designed the Tokyo Lifestyle Facesss Concept at Harbour City, Tsim Sha Tsui — a compact store that marks a milestone in the brand’s venture into beauty concession environments. The project combines immersive retail design with targeted appeal to Gen Z shoppers, enhancing brand presence in one of Hong Kong’s busiest commercial hubs.
This project illustrates how lifestyle-driven retail can function as a cultural showcase. By embedding storytelling into the physical environment, the store became more than a point of sale — it transformed into an experiential brand platform. The design balances contemporary Japanese sensibilities with global appeal, giving visitors an authentic connection to Tokyo’s evolving lifestyle culture. It highlights how design can deliver both a strong retail presence and an immersive cultural encounter.
A key driver of the concept was creating immediacy and impact within a small footprint. Every surface and fixture was considered as part of the storytelling canvas, from bold graphic treatments to lighting that reinforced mood and atmosphere. The layout was planned to encourage dwell time and discovery, giving visitors reasons to pause and interact while still keeping circulation smooth during peak hours.
The project also demonstrates how beauty concessions can leverage design as a differentiator in highly competitive environments. By aligning visual identity with user experience, the Tokyo Lifestyle Facesss store became a recognisable destination within Harbour City. It serves as a benchmark for how brands can scale lifestyle concepts across Asia, adapting them to local contexts while maintaining a consistent DNA of energy, clarity, and cultural relevance.
