Louvre Bakery
This project allowed us to stretch the possibilities of what a bakery could be; designed as an artisan bakery, with integrated open kitchen, patisserie section and a chocolatiere school.
The store is distributed over a generous 5000 sqft space, with workshops for those who wish to learn how to bake bread and make chocolate, a ‘snug’ seating area, and a series of custom designed merchandiser units and refrigeration fixtures.
The store has been designed with a minimised storefront threshold, in order to encourage serendipitous shopping. Studio X has been responsible for designing every element of the store experience from concept to completion.

This project was a labour of love, allowing us to stretch the bounds of an F&B concept in collaboration with a client who really wanted to go on a new journey with us. Working on a project with such a wide array of characteristics and planning it across a narrow, horizontal site that spanned a considerable length of the mall allowed us to use the store threshold as an elongated front-of-house and find ways to engage with the customer right along its length, and also create a scheme that felt like it had no physical boundaries.
Our main objective is to improve the performance of our clients businesses by creating exciting, emotive spaces that have high utility and this project epitomises this approach.
