Din Tai Fung
Studio X has designed a new restaurant concept for the worlds most decorated Asian restaurant brand, and the first ever Taiwanese restaurant to receive a Michelin Star.
Our aim: to bring the restaurant experience up to the standard of the food and create a new standard for future restaurants. We took a completely fresh look at the interiors, focusing our efforts not just on the decorative elements, but also the entire way the restaurant is laid out in order to ensure an environment that provides maximum user experience to the customer and the staff who serve them.

One of the key objectives was to establish how the restaurant functioned, as this is a high intensity rapid fire food service that requires everything to be in just the right location in order for it to work efficiently.
Our main objective is to improve the performance of our clients businesses by creating exciting, emotive spaces that have high utility and this project epitomises this approach.
