Hung’s Delicacies (HK Airport)
Hung’s Delicacies HKIA brings one of Hong Kong’s most celebrated dining names into the heart of the airport. The original Hung’s Delicacies in North Point, founded by Chef Lai Wai-Hung, earned a Michelin star and became known for its refined Cantonese flavours. At Hong Kong International Airport, the new restaurant preserves this heritage while adapting it for a modern travel dining experience.
Studio X designed the Hung’s Delicacies HKIA interior to balance tradition with efficiency. The restaurant combines warm materials, clear circulation, and branding elements that reflect its Michelin heritage. The result is an airport restaurant design that strengthens the Hung’s Delicacies identity, improves the passenger experience, and elevates the standard of F&B at HKIA.

The restaurant interior design draws on the prestige of Hung’s while creating a welcoming travel dining experience that enhances the airport’s broader retail and F&B offer.
The project demonstrates how design can carry a Michelin-starred legacy into new contexts, preserving identity while enabling growth. Hung’s Delicacies at HKIA not only introduces travellers to an iconic Hong Kong dining brand but also elevates the standard of airport dining, setting a new benchmark for cultural authenticity in transit spaces.
