Cheung Kong Centre

Cheung Kong Centre

Prior launching Studio X, our Founders led the team at Benoy who were responsible for refurbishing the iconic Caesar Pelli designed, Cheung Kong office tower in Central, Hong Kong. The Cheung Kong Centre was Pelli's first building in Hong Kong and features a series of curved glass towers that rise up from a central podium. The building was completed in 1999 and has become an important landmark in the city.

Our scope covered all key interior public areas of the building which is home to a number of businesses, including offices, a shopping mall, and a hotel. It is an iconic landmark in the city and is known for its distinctive design and location in the heart of Hong Kong's financial district.

The design scheme was created to be sympathetically respond to the existing building architecture and had a strong reference back to sustainability which is a core value of the client brand values.
